Rachelle and TJ were married at The Woodlands Club in Falmouth this past summer. Highlights included a sweet outdoor ceremony overlooking the pristine golf course, emotional heartfelt speeches, and a groom that ruled the dance floor like no other. I love working with Danny from Northeast Event Design as there is never a dull moment, and they do an amazing job with uplighting – a nice color pop for the reception photos! Gorgeous wedding and a fun crowd. Congratulations Rachelle and TJ!

Ross and Rikki Lee’s Harpswell Maine wedding was simply stunning! A quintessential Maine summer cottage surrounded by 360 degree views of beauty, Ross’s families summer home was the perfect spot to get married. The day was highlighted by nautical and clean white details, heartfelt vows and speeches, a gorgeous sunset, fireworks, and most importantly the love shared by Rikki Lee and Ross. Guests were treated to several courses of deliciousness prepared by local favorite, Henry and Marty. Heather Caron’s floral displays were a perfect compliment to the coastal backdrop. And Brandi Lawrence was there to ensure the day was everything the couple had dreamed of! Loved working with everyone involved!
How they met (in Rikki Lee’s words):
Our freshmen year dorm, Slade, was divided in half with girls on one side of the building and boys on the other. Only one other room and the stairwell separated our rooms, and Ross was randomly matched with a roommate that knew Rikki Lee from orientation. Not only did Ross’ roommate introduce us, but we also had a Philopsophy class together where we sat on opposite sides of the room.
After speaking briefly during these occasions, we spent some time together at an off-campus party which was followed by a lunch date at the college dining hall. Three weeks soon passed, and we began officially dating on October 2, 2008. We’ve been together ever since!
We spent all of college together, visiting Maine and Florida during holidays, spending a few weeks traveling across Europe one summer, and living together in our first apartment in Harvard Square the summer before our senior year of college.
We both graduated a semester early from school, got jobs, and moved in together. Our apartment is in Beacon Hill and the best part is our dog, Tober! We adopted him shortly after moving in together.

I am honored once again to have my work displayed in Real Maine Weddings Magazine. This time, though, they’ve chosen Jack and Lauren’s Barn at Flanagan Farm wedding as one of the four Featured Weddings! I absolutely adored these two and I am so pleased that their gorgeous wedding is getting the attention it deserves. The fall colors, the fine details, and the love shared between Lauren and Jack made this a true pleasure to photograph.
Along with the feature, several other images were on display throughout the pages of the July 2014 issue. This included two of my favorite sunset portraits – Katie and Kevin at Spring Point, and Megan and Jimmy at Union Bluff. I highly recommend grabbing a copy yourself, even if you are not planning a wedding. The photos of my fellow maine wedding photographers are truly impressive!
For the second wedding of the year, we ventured an hour down the road to the scenic town of York for Katie and Tim’s seaside wedding. The Massachusetts residents chose the gorgeous maine wedding venue, Union Bluff, as the local to exchange nuptials and celebrate. I love working Union Bluff weddings – the staff is accommodating to all vendors and the couples are laid back, easygoing types. Katie and Tim were no exception. We loved travelling in the trolley to Nubble Light and Katie’s aunt’s cliffside home for photos. The weather was perfect – sunny & 75! Guests were treated to classic Maine scenery, with the wedding site overlooking short sands beach. Following the sweet exchange of vows, everyone headed to the Meeting House for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. DJ Fred is a legend in the area and lived up to his reputation, playing a great mix of favorites.
Congratulations Katie and Tim! Thank you for having me there to capture your beautiful wedding! Best wishes to you both.
How they met (in Katie’s words):
Tim and I met in 2007 through a mutual friend, Max. Tim grew up with Max, I worked with Max at my first job out of college. Max and I both lived in the Brighton/Allston area, and Tim came in a few times to hang out with Max. We hit it off right away…and here we are 6 and a half years later…

If Megan and Carl’s Portland Company wedding is any indication, this season is going to be fantastic! We had an absolute blast working with these two!! Everything came together perfectly for the New York residents, who came back to their home state to marry. Earlier in the week, the forecast had called for torrential downpours, but thankfully, they were greeted by a beautiful sunny day. A few highlights included a train ride happy hour overlooking the ocean, humorous and heartfelt toasts, a charismatic group of wedding guests, and a bride and groom dance off to Lady Gaga!
Megan and Carl – you were a pleasure to work with! I love the connection between the two of you and wish you a lifetime of happiness!
The story of Carl and Megan, as told by the maid of honor, Rebecca Red:
Carl and Megan first began dating while they were in the 8th grade. Although they became very close at such a young age, teenage life would force them to attend rival high schools and they fell out of touch for many years – assuming they might never see one another again.
However, the universe had different plans, and miraculously, (thanks to a fabulous headshot), the pair ended up reconnecting through social media in 2009.
After countless hours spent text-messaging Carl (and countless hours spent text-messaging her friends Rebecca and Kelly ABOUT Carl), Megan would eventually join Carl in New York City in April of 2010. Since that time, they have happily made a home in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, where they enjoy making friends with human & canine neighbors, visiting unique local eateries, and watching Netflix.
The next chapter of Carl & Megan’s story brought them back to Maine and began with a themed party on 5/17/14, where they married the favorite elements of their lives in Portland and New York… And each other.
