KIM + GREG // ROYAL OAK ROOM AND HILTON GARDEN INN WEDDING

Throughout the years, I’ve built many relationships with my fellow wedding professional vendors. Few of these bonds are stronger than the one I’ve built with Greg and Dan at Northeast Event Design. Not only are they incredible DJs that provide the ultimate experience for their couples, but they are two of the nicest down to earth guys I know. When Greg contacted me to photograph his wedding, I was truly honored that he had chosen me from the pool of hundreds of Maine photographers he’s worked with over the years!

Greg and Kim chose to marry in the wedding offseason on a cold November day in Auburn. Kim was one of the bravest brides I’ve worked with, fighting through the frigid temps to get some outdoor photos on a historic bridge. Their beloved dog, Denon, was quite the dapper bulldog, donning cuff links and a handsome tie. The ceremony was at the Royal Oak Room, with a few emotional tears and laughter as Greg and Kim exchanged handwritten vows. Soon after, we were transported to an incredible celebration at the Hilton Garden Inn where another favorite vendor, the Bob Charest Band was entertaining guests for the evening. And what a night it was! Greg and Kim rarely left the other’s side as they dined and danced the night away with their guests. Although I was their photographer, they also wanted me to be a guest and enjoy the evening as well. I may have snuck away for a dance or two with my wife.

Congratulations Greg and Kim! Cannot wait to meet the newest addition to your family this summer!

How they met, as told by Kim:
Greg and two of his closest friends were going ‘cosmic bowling’ and needed a 4th player to reserve a lane. They called the only person they knew from the area who happened to be a friend of mine from a few years back. She ended up sending me an Instant Message (yes, this was back in the days of AIM) asking if I’d be in town and if I’d want to tag along. Long story short, I joined them and Greg and I chatted all night. I ended up tracking him down via myspace (another throwback) and we started talking online. After about a week, we went on a date and the rest is history.
